Preparations for this year’s British Fly Fair International are now done and dusted and, for the first year in many, my flies for display are complete.
It’s already been said elsewhere, but tying at this outstanding event is a huge privilege, and saying that it’s an honour to tie alongside such a host of amazing fly tiers doesn’t come close. I am truly chuffed to bits at having been invited back for my fifth year. Where does the time go?
If you’re thinking of attending (and why wouldn’t you?), I’d love it if you were to pop by, have a good chin-wag, and share a few fishing stories.
I’ll be demoing a range of river patterns throughout the weekend, and specifically, a range of tried and tested river patterns, ‘template’ flies, and micro patterns in sub-size #20’s for those tricky trout and grayling. Along with these, I’ll be demoing a wide range of fantastic Partridge of Redditch hook models, as well as some of the best fly tying materials on the planet thanks to Semperfli Fly Tying Materials and Funky Fly Tying.
I’ll be posting updates live from the show via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, so if you’re unable to make the show, feel free to follow along via these social media channels. The fab BFFI team will also be posting updates and photos from the weekend via the official Facebook page so, again, feel free to drop by, post your photos, and most of all, enjoy yourselves and have a fantastic weekend!
Further information, including opening times, ticket purchases, etc., for the weekend-long event is available via www.bffi.co.uk.
See you there folks!
